This ISI ranked journal aims to endow cybernetics, general systems and management sciences with an authoritative voice of its own and to establish a competent international forum for the exchange of knowledge and information. One of the primary objectives of the journal is to weed out pseudocybernetic claims and to base cybernetics on sound scientific foundations. The journal is concerned with the interdisciplinary study of cybernetics and systems in the widest sense. Papers accepted for publication are double-blind refereed to ensure academic rigour and integrity.
Kybernetes is also the official journal of the UNESCO recognized, World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics (WOSC) and The Cybernetics Society.
The journal is concerned with the interdisciplinary study of cybernetics and systems in the widest sense. Among the broad range of topics covered are:
Our relationship with the society in which we live continues to develop in both complexity and intensity. Every facet of our lives is affected, and Kybernetes, an established and authoritative voice of cybernetics and systems thinking, seeks to contribute to our understanding of human, artificial and natural systems.
The journal is an important forum for the exchange of knowledge and information in these fields, addressing major areas of concern and debate whilst highlighting future developments. The challenging and comprehensive nature of systems and cybernetics is reflected in the published articles which involve not only theoretical and methodological-oriented studies but also in-depth discussions of their related appliances and implementations.
